Tao Nguyen's Treasure Planet Sketch Drawing

Here's a little sketch drawing I recently did for my wife on our 21st wedding anniversary. It's based on the characters that I worked on for Disney's feature animated film- 'Treasure Planet'.

(FYI- I had the honor of working on Disney's 'Treasure Planet' movie as a character clean-up animator. It was my 3rd feature film credit for Disney. Captain Amelia and Scroop (the spider villain) were my assigned characters. It was the first time I was ever assigned to two characters on one unit and I had the pleasure of working under the amazing Supervising animator- Ken Duncan. Looking back, out of the 15 animated movies that I have worked on- this was probably my favorite one to work on because not only were there tons of action sequences, but working on two characters simultaneously made it super fun. One last thing, whenever my unit got slow, I would help out with the Doppler character unit- so, this drawing is perfectly fitting for our anniversary.)
